Susannah is currently serving her sixth term in the Commonwealth’s Great and General Court. She takes pride in being the only Independent member of the Massachusetts Legislature, and one of less than two dozen nationwide. Susannah is a seventh-generation resident of Athol, Massachusetts and co-owner a local manufacturing company. 

This term she has been assigned to joint committees on Joint Committee on Aging and Independence; Higher Education; Housing and Mental Health, Substance Use and Recovery. Susannah has been acknowledged for her work on the prevention of child sexual abuse by both Childrens’ Advocacy Center and The Children’s Trust. 

With a strong focus on constituent services, her office’s mission is to put people over politics. Rather than keeping staff on Beacon Hill, Susannah’s district office is located in the center of her district, on Main Street in Athol. She and her team travel to meet with constituents where they are or welcome them to visit the office.
